Mikó Straw Team (MST): Why have You chosen Mikó Straw bedding for Your horses?

Mikó Stroh Distributor (MSP): Stable quality, free of dust, high absorbancy, easier manuring.

MST: Why would you suggest Mikó Straw bedding?

MSP: Because of the above mentioned arguments and because of the good price.

MST: Do You use Mikó Straw in open stalls?

MSP: No, not yet.

MST: How do you use Mikó Straw in a normal sized stall?

MSP: We use 3 sacks of Mikó Straw bedding for the first time and then we use some extra to fill the missing parts.

MST: Is there any difference between the need of a race horse and a normal horse?

MSP: No, I do not think so.

MST: Is manuring easier with Mikó Straw?

MSP: The manuring is easier because the amount of manure is also less and one does not have to work much, too.

MST: Could You reduce Your costs with Mikó Straw bedding?

MSP: Yes, I could.

MST: Is manuring different from the one with shavings?

MSP: No, it is not. Actually, it is the same.

MST: Do horses feen on Mikó Straw bedding? Do they fatten?

MSP: No, they do not. Our horses do not feed on it.

MST: Ist das Ausmisten mit MS einfacher? Wenn ja, warum ?
MSP: Mit Mikó Stroh entsteht viel weniger Mist und das Ausmisten ist leichter in der Arbeit.
MST: Sind Ihre Kosten weniger mit Mikó Stroh Einstreu für Pferde?
MSP: Ja, die Kosten sind jetzt weniger.
MST: Ist das Ausmisten mit einer Gabel anders als bei Spänen?
MSP: Nein, das Ausmisten ist auch so, wie bei Spänen.
MST: Fressen Ihre Pferde Mikó Stroh Einstreu für Pferde? Hat das Gewicht der Pferde sich verändert? Haben die Pferde zugenommen?

MSP: Nein, die Pferde fressen es nicht.

MST: Ist der Mist aus MS gut für Champignon?
MSP: Der Mist wird von Belgiern und Holländern abgeholt, Sie nutzen ihn für die Pilzzucht. Jedoch können sie keinen reinen Mikó Stroh Mist gebrauchen, der Mist muss auch lange Strukturen (Stroh) enthalten.
Sehr gut ist Mikó Stroh für Biogasanlagen zu verwenden.

Experiences with Mikó Straw from Germany

Firstly, I am really sorry that I haven’t written for a while but we are planning a new design for the website of Mikó Straw and I am also working on the English version of our official website!

The opinion of our clients and partners are really important for us, so if you have any suggestion or experience, share it with us!

We asked our German partner what kind of advantages Mikó Straw bedding has.

One needs only a sack of Mikó Straw bedding per week but only a half is enough for really clean horses. There is no effluvium in the stall and it smells like wheat fields.

Mikó Straw offers a really soft bedding for horses and it smells also nicely, so horses like laying down on Mikó Straw and they also can sleep better on it. The bedding binds the urine and the wet parts can be taken out easily with a pitchfork.

We are often asked whether Mikó Straw can be used in open stalls. They answer is YES, it can! You will need the following: a paddock which you should fill with sand and then you should put some Mikó Straw on the top of it. There will be no frozen straw in wintertime and it can be manured as easy as in summer.

Costs of manuring will be reduced in contrast with a normal bedding.

Manuring with Mikó Straw is really easy because the bedding is really slight and it is really easy to manure the excrement. Manuring with Mikó Straw is similar to the one with shavings. According to our partners it is easier with Mikó Straw. Besides, the amount of the manure will be reduced by 75% which also reduces the costs of dispatching the manure.

For those who also have fields because the manure from Mikó Straw will hack the ground and make it wonderful.

Besides, biogas works also take the manure from Mikó Straw bedding.
